Family-friendly adventures across the Buckeye State to help kids trade devices for real-world connection

Summer break is the perfect time for Ohio families to unplug, reconnect, and make memories. Change the Game Ohio is encouraging parents and caregivers to flip the script on screen time with affordable, family-friendly activities across the state. Research shows nearly seven in 10 middle school students spend more than three hours a day on screens outside of schoolwork. Early exposure to gambling and gaming-style experiences can increase the risk of harmful behaviors later in life.

Change the Game Ohio partnered with four mom influencers across Ohio to curate a list of 40 ways Ohioans can stay active, connected, and entertained all summer long. From hiking trails and splash pads to local festivals, bike rides, libraries, and outdoor concerts, this guide brings the fun – no Wi-Fi required!
